
James Edmunds (Ed) Young, Jr.
Vice President of Finance
Ed earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Presbyterian College. He is a certified Public Accountant and has served as the Treasurer and Controller for Presbyterian College for the past 17 years. He is an ordained Presbyterian Elder and a member of the Governing Board of the SC Association of Children’s Homes. Ed is very active in his community. He is a member of the Governing Board of Beckman Center for Mental Health and serves as Chairman of the Laurens County Mental Health Association. He is the Treasurer of the Laurens County Chapter for the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill and is a member of the Governing Board of Clinton Family YMCA. He and his wife, Karen, raised their three children, Brooke, Jared and Stefan in Clinton, SC.
Ed receives a great deal of personal satisfaction through his work at Thornwell.
